| It is missing the thing to tell me how far I went! |
Then after the big kids went to school and the little one was off to preschool, I met my friend at the gym where we ran 3 miles, and then I hopped in the pool and swam a mile. I feel fabulous! It just feels nice to see progress. When I started my tri-training in January, the swimming really had me nervous. The first time I went I only swam 2 lengths of the pool before I needed to stop and recover for a bit! Now I'm swimming a mile in 45 minutes without stopping at all! I often feel like I'm surrounded by people doing incredible things and then there is just me--no amazing back story, no grand life achievements--just doing a lot of laundry and cooking and cleaning and working out. But I need to recognize that at least I am getting better at what I do!
We are having beautiful weather and it makes me want to spend all my time outside! Forget the laundry and cooking and cleaning! Lincoln and I spent the afternoon at the park. We got to walk along our street that is lined with these trees that smell heavenly.
I don't know what they are, but every year at this time I want to plant them in my yard! I think I was a little high by the time we got to the park--these things smell incredible!
The little birds think so too!
Happy, happy spring!!!
What about you?? Any small (or big) milestones you have recently attained?
Those trees are gorgeous! Nice work on the swimming. It's always good to feel improvement!
ReplyDeleteI hope you know that you are one of those "people doing incredible things" I was talking about.
DeleteI have one of those trees in my back yard -- it's a Snow Apple (related to the crab apple I believe, but non fruiting). I love spring!
