My running bling

Check out my new accessory, compliments of a dear friend!  It is a Road ID, engraved with my name and pertinent info.  (Sorry I didn't make it big enough for you to read--I didn't want everyone to start calling my husband or my friend, Angie.  Surprise, Angie!  YOU are my secondary emergency contact! Hope that's okay!  I figured if anyone could handle an emergency, it would be you.)

I took it out for a trial 5.5 miles tonight and it did great.  (As did I.)  I like it a lot better than the piece of paper that I used to stick in my shoe reading, "If you find me dead on the road, please call my husband."  Because, really, who would think to take off my shoes if they found me dead on the  road??

Okay, now I'm off to bed because swim conditioning starts tomorrow and I have to be at the pool at 5:15 am.  One day my kids will all be in school all day and maybe then I can start doing things at normal hours of the day.  Who am I kidding, though?  Then I will probably be working (at a paying job) on top of all the things I am doing now!  :)  Goodnight!
